Our monthly capability building session for local government. A one-hour briefing on using local evidence to show what makes your community, and its needs, different from the rest of your state or territory.
Wednesday 21 October 2026, 1:00 to 2:00pm AEDT
12:30pm Adelaide · 12:00pm Brisbane · 11:30am Darwin · 10:00am Perth. Online, 60 minutes.
Local government relies on state government funding and support for many of its projects, initiatives and strategies. But what makes a local community distinct can be lost in broader, state-wide reviews of demographic and economic conditions, community views and other factors.
In this one-hour briefing, Dan Evans and Glenn Capuano will give an overview of the evidence available to inform decisions. They'll show how it can be used to tell a clear and compelling story about the characteristics of your local area, and what those characteristics mean for your community's needs compared with other parts of your state or territory.
When you register, let us know what you're making the case for, or the question you most want answered. We'd love to hear from you, and Dan and Glenn will answer as many questions as they can live.
Can't make it on the day? Register anyway and we'll send you the recording.
