About the Tasmania South East Region

Key Findings

The region is expected to reach around 45,000 residents in 2030. The total population of Tasmania South East in 2046 is 48,829, a net growth of around 6,039 residents since 2021, with 3,902 net additional dwellings by 2046.

  • The region is experiencing steady growth from spillover from Greater Hobart and interstate migration.
