DEVELOPMENT FOCUS

What’s the difference between the RDF and the NFP’s dwelling forecasts?

Residential Development Forecasts focus solely on realistic predictions of future development sites. The National Forecasting Program dwellings forecasts use residential development forecast data as an input, and also includes infill housing forecasting (additional dwellings from densification of existing housing stock) to give an overall view of current stock, future development sites and densification due to infill.
